Attend GardenStateApartment.com's third general meeting for members of the NJ Apartment MLS. This meeting features Richard C. Vaill and Steven B Shaiman. Rich Vaill, Senior Vice President for the Excalibur 1031 Group, LLC, was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1988 and was commissioned an Officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Rich served in Operation Sharp Edge in Liberia in 1989 and in Operation Desert Storm in 1990. He left active duty in 1993, and continued serving in the Marine Corps Reserves until November 2005. Rich attained the rank of Major, and is also a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College.

Rich has over 14 years experience in the financial industry, and currently holds his Series 7 and 66 licenses. Prior to joining the Excalibur 1031 Group, LLC in 2004, Rich worked at Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor and Operations Manager, and at JP Morgan as an Operations Manager.

Rich is responsible for business development for the Northeast Division of the Excalibur 1031 Group, LLC. In addition, he holds his New Jersey Real Estate License.

 Steven B. Shaiman, CPA, IAR is practicing self-employed accountant as well as a financial advisor with Calton & Associates, Inc. Based in Livingston, NJ, Steve has served both Northern and Central New Jersey for the past 25 years.

Kohout, a LOCAL, wildly successful investor, entrepreneur & educator with no formal training. Chuck has an incredible drive and habit of succeeding in everything he does. He has blue collar back ground, though most of the time he prefers to wear a T-shirt & jeans. He has spent his early years working for and running a number of small businesses, from bakery to bartender, special education counselor to nutrition center, providing top-notch service is in his blood. "I learned early on to treat people well, & what you put out will come back to you."

Charles M. Kohout founded Salvation Home Buyers, in 2004, a company that functions as a hybrid of a real estate holding company. It allowed him exit the workforce shortly after. "The philosophy is simple but most people don't get it, however I and hundreds of others that I've trained know differently because we do it every day. A six figure check usually makes some one a believer."
